I don't know if anyone is still looking at this thread but a free alternative that is now available:
1. Create the guides you want in Adone line using the guide overlay option. 2. Take a screen grab (exporting will not preserve the guides) 3. Import screen grab to a Procreate layer and adjust size/ xy 4. Add a Multiply blend to the layer 5. Draw on layers below or above the guide layer 6. Turn off layer when done / ready to export.
I've also been using Adobe line to create basic layouts for use in Procreate.
Pen tool in version 2? Or, maybe Procreate will make a vector based app in the future. The selection tool makes straight lines. I use it all the time when making objects. I understand the initial request was very *straight* forward.
I'd like to say something nice: I have CS6 Master Suite and a medium Wacom Intuos on a nice Mac with a big display. Still, I get drawn to Procreate when I want to start from scratch and just make something.
Something to consider is perception. If you are worried about staggering lines perhaps you should increase the resolution of your images. If you are working in hi resolution images I don't think people will notice the raster line artifacts (depending on final output.) On that note, remember, this is not a vector based program. Always use the right tool for the job.
Btw, moonlightwing: Export format options for psd and native are still available except when saving to your photos folder on the iPad.
